QUEEN’S RAW BAR
A vintage service station is transformed into a purposeful dining environment that balances coastal informality with refined architectural detail.
Designed by Wick Architecture & Design, Queen’s Raw Bar is the Eagle Rock seafood-focused follow-up from Last Word Hospitality, expanding on the success of Found Oyster in East Hollywood. The restaurant occupies a former vintage service station, where the design transforms the building’s elongated, narrow footprint into a highly purposeful dining environment rooted in craft, materiality, and spatial clarity.
A central U-shaped seafood and wine bar anchors the interior, wrapped in layered stone and wood surfaces and highlighted with a dedicated raw bar facing the seated customers. Above, custom suspended stained-glass elements trace the bar’s curved geometry, helping to define the bar’s presence. The perimeter of the existing structure is softened by a continuous scalloped banquette that follows the original building profile, complemented by vintage-inspired lighting and a curated art wall featuring photographs from the Chef Ari Kolender’s time in Charleston. Together, these elements establish a space that balances coastal informality with refined architectural detail.
