Set inside the historic Chapman Market in Koreatown, Wick Architecture & Design partnered with the Sushi Nozawa Group to bring the energy of KazuNori’s hand roll experience to a vibrant new space. The restaurant is centered on a distinctive C-shaped sushi bar, creating an intimate setting where every seat feels close to the action.

Handcrafted tilework and warm, richly toned wood counters and ceilings are balanced against the market’s original industrial character—concrete floors, brushed plaster walls, and exposed wood framing overhead. A palette of varied blue ceramic tiles wraps the sushi bar, evoking the depth and movement of the ocean and setting the tone for the dining experience.

Anchored between the iconic 6th Street storefronts and the market’s central courtyard, the space connects seamlessly to Chapman Market’s historic spirit while delivering a fresh, modern take on hand roll dining.
