GROUNDWORK
Using earth toned materials such as mesquite wood hex tile and concrete to reflect the company’s “from the ground up” philosophy, the numerous locations become integral parts of their communities.

Working with Groundwork Coffee, Wick Architecture has completed the design of several locations including Larchmont Blvd., 3rd Street, and coffee stand locations inside 365 Markets in Santa Monica, Long Beach, and Silver Lake. They have married Groundwork’s existing as-built aesthetic with more modern application of materials and finishes. Examples include a mesquite hex tile wood floor scribed into an existing concrete floor at the Larchmont location, or a black wood soffit bulkhead visually anchoring the Groundwork space within the overall 365 Market in Santa Monica. |
