GOLD-DIGGERS SOUND
Hints of the storied past of the building—including Ed Wood’s soundstage and Guns & Roses rehearsals—have been retained, amongst the new, state-of-the-art recording studio.
Gold-Diggers Sound, in East Hollywood, is a recording studio that is part of the larger Gold-Diggers Hotel complex. The recording studio occupies an existing bowstring truss warehouse that used to be the home of Ed Wood Studios and a practice studio for many bands in the 60s, 70s and 80s—including Guns & Roses. The brick warehouse has been restored and sub-divided into ten recording studios, an office and and a foyer. Existing brick walls, concrete floors and wood trusses and ceilings have been restored and serve as the backdrop to new modern finishes, lighting and furnishings.
