David Wick, Architect, LEED AP is principal and lead designer of Wick Architecture and Design located in Los Angeles, California. The firm is committed to commercial and residential sustainable design and construction. The firm’s goal is to blend nature with the built environment, creating buildings that feel as healthy and holistic as being in any natural space. Since the inception of the practice in 2006, the firm has designed and completed a multitude of residential and commercial projects including a "Build It Green" certified home in Sherman Oaks; a showroom for Bisazza, the world preeminent glass mosaic manufacturer; retail stores for Joe’s Jeans and Max Studio; three restaurants for the Cobras and Matadors group, 750ml, Nixon, and Church and State; a remodel of an existing 20,000 square foot concrete building from the 1920s; and numerous residential remodels and additions throughout the Los Angeles region. In more than 14 years of professional practice, David Wick has actively pursued innovative and common-sense green design.
Wick received a B.S. from Art Center College of Design in 1994. Wick began his professional career practicing with Eric Moss Architects and Hodgetts+Fung where he worked on the Hollywood Bowl and the award winning Sinclair Pavilion at Art Center and the Hyde Park Library for the City of Los Angeles. Wick was also a partner at Heusch Inc. from 2001 to 2006. There he oversaw all aspects of the practice, including the Bodega Chacra winery in Argentina; Chopard retail stores; Cello restaurant in New York; the five story Algodon hotel in Buenos Aires; and the Oak Pass residence, as published in Surface and Elle France.
